Cornelia Murr to join Papooz for an intimate show at Union Stage

Singer-songwriter Cornelia Murr will bring her spellbinding new material to Washington, D.C., on May 5 as she joins French duo Papooz at Union Stage for a spring tour stop. The show marks one of several dates on her run supporting Run to the Center, her sophomore album released earlier this year.

The London-born, New York-based singer-songwriter is touring behind her most expansive work to date. Produced by Luke Temple, Run to the Center dives deep into themes of personal growth, uncertainty, and resilience, showcasing Murr’s dreamlike vocal presence across 10 intricate, emotionally rich tracks. The album includes previously released singles like “Skylight,” “Pushing East,” “How Do You Get By,” and “Meantime,” each one building on her ethereal sound with newfound confidence.
The tour pairs Murr with Papooz—Ulysse Cottin and Armand Penicaut—whose 2024 album RESONATE blends elements of vibrant rock and indie pop. The album offers lush, melodic storytelling wrapped in the duo’s unique charm. Alongside the album, Papooz released It Hurts Me, a cinematic short film shot in New York City that brings their sonic world to life.
The Union Stage show offers audiences a blend of introspective songwriting and melodic pop. Cornelia Murr’s reflective, atmospheric sound contrasts with Papooz’s rhythm-forward, genre-spanning style, creating a diverse listening experience.
